WNYC held its 10th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at the Apollo Theater this weekend, co-hosted by WNYC hosts Jami Floyd and Brian Lehrer.

Presented as part of the Apollo Uptown Hall series, this year's event focused on disparity in America by looking at the impact of institutional racism while exploring race and privilege.

Hear an excerpt from our #WNYCMLK event: this is a pre-taped interview with former Attorney General Eric Holder on the impact of Dr. King on his career and his life.

It's followed by a music/spoken word performance by Daniel Bernard Roumain and spoken word poet Marc Bamuthi Joseph.
