Trumpeter Frank London has been at the forefront of the revival of klezmer music in New York since the 1980s.  Klezmer, or Jewish soul music, grew up in the shtetls of Eastern Europe but flourished here in New York in the 1920s and 30s, with wailing horns and mournful fiddles, and breakneck dance tunes.  Frank London’s Klezmer Brass All-Stars is an on-again off-again group devoted to recreating and updating the hard partying sound of those earlier bands.  Lucky for us, the band is on again, and playing tomorrow night at Barbes in Park Slope.
