The calendar says that summer goes on for another couple of weeks, but we all know better. Summer really ends on Labor Day, and you can tell because all those free music events that have been available during the summer come to an end. The Met has been presenting a series of its HD operas this past week at Lincoln Center Plaza, and that series ends on Monday, Sept. 4, with a free screening of Puccini’s La Boheme – a tale of love, death, and starving artists.
