Gig Alert: 1001 Voices: A Symphony for a New America at Kupferberg Center, Queens College

Composer Frank London is best known as one of the leaders of the klezmer music revival of the 1980s, but he’s also written musical theater, chamber music, and this big multimedia work called "1001 Voices: A Symphony for New America," with words by Judith Sloan, and visuals by Warren Lehrer (yes, he’s Brian Lehrer’s brother). The piece is a celebration of the transformative power of immigration and the diversity of the borough of Queens.  The Queens College Choral Society performs "1001 Voices: A Symphony for a New America," by composer Frank London in a concert tomorrow night, paired with the Mozart Requiem, at the Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College.
