EVENT: 4AD Showcase, featuring The Lemon Twigs, Methyl Ethel, and more

Jeff Lynne, the slightly obsessive studio wizard who fronts the British rock band Electric Light Orchestra once said that his band was formed to make the kind of music The Beatles would’ve made if they stuck around for the 1970s. The Long Island-native band The Lemon Twigs has obviously been stewing in some of those classic early 70s sounds, with the clear intent to bring them into 2016. The Lemon Twigs are part of a full roster of artists from the great indie record label 4AD who are performing a showcase tonight at Irving Plaza.
