Gig Alert: Dan Wilson at City Winery, Thurs. 9/28

Dan Wilson has written Grammy-winning hit songs for other people, like the Dixie Chicks and Adele. But first, he wrote a hit for his old band, called Semisonic. That song, "Closing Time," came out in 1998, and the song had a brief second life when used in an episode of the hit TV series "The Office" many years later. Now Wilson is reclaiming a bunch of the songs he’s written over the years, and performing them in a series of intimate solo shows. See Dan Wilson at City Winery tomorrow night. He’ll also be playing in our studio tomorrow afternoon at 2PM.
