There are few bands more trippy, more psychedelic, more just plain weird than The Flaming Lips. Their live shows have featured singer Wayne Coyne in a human-sized hamster wheel, laser lights, mistreated baby dolls, and all manner of strange and colorful costumes. For their new album, The Flaming Lips, who are from Oklahoma, chose a Polish title – Oczy Mlody, and on the song called "The Castle," they combine melancholy lyrics with a genuinely accessible melody. The Flaming Lips are playing tonight at Terminal 5.
