Gig Alert: GABI at Union Pool, Tuesday, 8/15

The vocalist and composer known as GABI, real name Gabrielle Herbst, created the music on her album called Sympathy by using looping pedals. This allowed her to build up choral and orchestral sounds using just her voice and a few instrumentalists. Those sounds could be startling and dramatic, or lush and ethereal. Tomorrow night GABI creates songs and longer form soundscapes by using digital looping devices at Union Pool in Brooklyn.
