Gig Alert: Hamilton Leithauser at Café Carlyle, Jan. 17-27

Hamilton Leithauser is still best known as the lead singer of the popular indie rock band The Walkmen. But in recent years, with that band on hiatus, he’s pursued a solo career, and collaborated with singer/songwriter Angel Olsen and with Rostam, former member of Vampire Weekend. Leithauser’s songs often recall various streams of American pop, from guitar-driven rock to songs with a retro, more orchestral sound. The singer/songwriter is performing a run of shows at Café Carlyle, through January 27.
