Members of the band The Jay Vons have all filtered through the musical stables of the 1960s and 70s soul revival label known as Daptone, most notably home to Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, and Charles Bradley. The four members of the Jay Vons have clearly thumbed their way through every dusty vinyl crate they can find, in search of those funky, classic R&B sounds.
