Gig Alert: Justin Kauflin

Music Hub | Apr 2, 2015

ARTIST: Justin Kauflin

GIG: Thursday evening at Baruch College

By the time Justin Kauflin was 11, he had almost completely lost his sight. But he was already showing prodigious talent as a pianist and violinist. He switched to jazz piano, and got the attention of some highly influential friends. His relationship with the late, great jazz trumpeter Clark Terry was chronicled in the acclaimed  documentary Keep on Keepin’ On. Justin’s new record Dedication was recorded with the one and only Quincy Jones, and features this track, “For Clark.”
