Bass player Miles Mosley keeps very good company. He was part of the band on Kendrick Lamar’s last album, played with Rihanna and Beck, and is a member of the L.A. supergroup called the West Coast Get Down, which also includes the sax player Kamasi Washington. Miles is used to playing on really big stages with some of these bands, but he plays more intimate settings as well when presenting his own music. That music draws on horn-heavy soul, R&B, New Orleans-style second-line music, and rock. This song by Miles Mosley is called "Fire." Bass player Miles Mosley plays tonight at Le Poisson Rouge.
