Gig Alert: The Necks (30th Anniversary) at Issue Project Room

The Australian trio called The Necks make music that asks a question. Is music something to be inhaled in a couple of minutes and then you move on?  Or should it be something you sink into over a period of time? A traditional show by The Necks, if there is such a thing, consists of a single, groove-based work that unfolds over an hour. After 30+ years of playing together, the piano, bass and drums of The Necks seem to have an almost telepathic connection. The Necks make a rare NY appearance tonight at the Issue Project Room.
