Gig Alert: North Mississippi Allstars at Bowery Ballroom

Luther and Cody Dickinson founded the North Mississippi Allstars almost 20 years ago, blending blues, Memphis soul and rock and following in the footsteps of their father, the noted Memphis musician and producer Jim Dickinson. Luther now divides his time between the Allstars and the popular rock band Black Crowes. But it’s currently North Mississippi Allstar time, with the band back on the road, about to release their latest, Prayer for Peace. The North Mississippi Allstars play tonight with guest vocalist and activist Reverend Sekou at the Bowery Ballroom.
