Gig Alert: Victor Wooten Trio at Brooklyn Bowl, Tues. 12/12
Tickets: $25. 21+. Show at 8PM.

Vic Wooten first made an impression – an often jaw-dropping impression – in the genre-blind band led by banjo wiz Béla Fleck. But Wooten has gone on to do lots of other projects, including solo works, a TED talk, and a series of collaborations. Back in the 1990s, we recorded Wooten in a concert at BAM. One of the most memorable parts of the show was this combination of soulful bass and pointed lyrics, called "Justice," with the drummer JD Blair.

Tomorrow night, this master innovator of the bass guitar, gifted composer, arranger, producer, vocalist & multi-instrumentalist, Victor Wooten, along with drummer Dennis Chambers (Parliament/Funkadelic) and saxophonist Bob Franceschini, play as a trio at Brooklyn Bowl.
