The Leonard Lopate Show | Oct 27, 2017

Best-selling author and film professor Scott Eyman joins us to discuss his new book Hank and Jim: The Fifty-Year Friendship of Henry Fonda and James Stewart. He tells the story of the friendship between legendary Hollywood actors Henry Fonda and James Stewart, beginning from when they became friends as stage actors in New York. Eyman traces how their lives intertwined as they filmed classics such as "The Grapes of Wrath," "Mister Roberts," "12 Angry Men."

The Film Forum (209 W Houston, between Varick and 6th Ave.) is hosting a series of screenings called "Hank and Jim," which features the films of James Stewart and Henry Fonda. The series runs through Nov. 16.

Note: Melissa Eagan guest-hosted this segment of "The Leonard Lopate Show."
