The storied area of land known as Governor’s Island has been home to the British government during colonial times, the US Military, and now is public land, that features glamping among other activities and events. Clare Newman, president and CEO of the Trust for Governor’s Island, will discuss the history and current iteration of the island, including how it will now be open year-round.
