Dean recounts a tale of espionage and engineering set in 1968 at the height of the Cold War. He details how the CIA, the U.S. Navy, and the eccentric mogul Howard Hughes worked together over six years to steal a nuclear-armed Soviet submarine that sat at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.
