Filmmaker Michael Kirk discusses the NRA, and how it reinvented itself from a group of gun enthusiasts and sportsmen to a powerful lobbying force. Kirk’s new Frontline documentary “Gunned Down: The Power of the NRA” investigates the NRA, its political evolution and influence, and how it has consistently succeeded in defeating new gun control legislation. The documentary premiers tonight, January 6, at 10pm on WETA and online at pbs.org/frontline.
