Masha Gessen On Russia's Return To Totalitarianism

Award-winning journalist and author Masha Gessen joins us to discuss her latest book, The Future Is History: How Totalitarianism Reclaimed Russia. She follows the lives of four people born during the fall of the Soviet Union - a time that seemingly promised to be the beginning of a new democratic era in Russia. Gessen explores how their expectations clashed with reality as Russia’s autocracy reemerged.
