Leading up to this Thanksgiving holiday, Innovation Hub wonders: do traditions still serve a purpose, or should they be overhauled?

Traditions of education, traditions of language, traditions of journalism. Hear from writer and technology theorist Clay Shirky, who calls on higher education institutions to make changes in how they deliver their curriculums before it's too late. With the advent of MOOCs and other forms of technological upheaval, it has become more important to embrace the concept of online education. Then, British linguist and author David Crystal explains that new technologies aren't changing language as radically as we fear. Closing out the program, host Kara Miller speaks with Ruth Reichl about how food journalism is changing and why sitting down together for meals is still an important foundation.
