Isa, Operatically-Trained, R & B Diva-in-the-Making

Born Isa Lopez, she combines her Afro-Latin heritage with a love of contemporary R&B, dance music, and – surprisingly, perhaps – opera. The Bronx-born singer, songwriter, and model is the granddaughter of famed Cuban vocalist Isaura Mendoza, and trained as a classical vocalist in the Dominican Republic. Her recent EP is called Mirrors, Vol. 1, and together with guitarist TK, they'll play some stripped down versions of a couple of her songs.
