Trumpeter jaimie branch died suddenly last year at the age of 39; she had just finished working on what would turn out to be her final album, done with her outstanding quartet known as Fly Or Die. She never had a chance to tour after the album was released, but in her final concert with the band, they did play the record in full in front of a live audience in Nebraska – a performance that was filmed and which will be seen on Monday, Oct. 2 for the first time, after which a number of her friends and mentors will join the rest of Fly Or Die for a tribute concert.  A virtual jaimie branch and several musical colleagues join the band on Oct. 2 at Roulette.
