Why James Baldwin's Activism Matters Today

Director Raoul Peck joins us to discuss his documentary, “I Am Not Your Negro” based on the writings of James Baldwin. The film moves across time and space, sliding from the historical civil rights movement to more recent events, including Ferguson. Peck includes excerpts from the F.B.I.'s files on Baldwin, as well as color images of the Civil Rights Movement.
