The English singer and songwriter James Bay hit it big right out of the gate with his platinum single “Hold Back The River” in 2014. He made his reputation for a smooth blend of pop and blue-eyed soul, with maybe a touch of Nashville mixed in. But his new album sports a harder, more rock-oriented sound. The guitars are louder, and the songs are edgier. This is one he performed recently on Saturday Night Live; it’s called "Pink Lemonade," and it's part of our Weekly Music Roundup.
