As Freelancing Careers Grow, A Lament For The Lost Office Life

Jennifer Senior, the author of All Joy and No Fun: discusses her feature story in the Monday Dec. 29 issue of New York Magazine, “To the Office, With Love.” The story examines the changing nature of work in America, as more people become freelancers or contingent workers. Jennifer, who admits to being a happy creature of the office herself, explores what happens to our way of thinking and relating to others as the traditional compact between employers and employees fades away.
