Jessica Lange, Gabriel Byrne Star in Eugene O'Neill's Late Masterpiece

The Leonard Lopate Show | Jun 1, 2016

Jessica Lange, Gabriel Byrne and Michael Shannon talk about the Roundabout Theatre Company Production of Eugene O’Neill’s “Long Day’s Journey Into Night,” now playing on Broadway. O’Neill posthumously won a Pulitzer Prize for the play, which is semi-autobiographical and is considered to be one of his greatest works. It tells the story of the troubled Tyrone family - parents Mary Tyrone (Lange) and James Tyrone (Byrne), and their sons Jamie Tyrone (Shannon) and Edmund Tyrone (John Gallagher, Jr.) - who are all struggling with addiction, illness, anger and regret.

"Long Day's Journey Into Night" is playing at the American Airlines Theater (227 W 42nd St.) for a limited engagement through June 26th. For tickets, visit the Roundabout's website
