Maybe the band Tommy Tutone was a one-hit wonder, but for a time in the early 80s, this song, written by band founder Jim Keller, was inescapable. Keller himself, though, was… escapable, I guess, because he basically left the pop music scene for 25 years to manage the famed American composer Philip Glass. He has occasionally resurfaced with solo material, and the great Tom Waits says that Jim Keller "makes me feel like I have big plans, no worries and all my hair." On Dec. 1, he releases a single called "Easy Rider," whose proceeds benefit the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. The song is also part of our Weekly Music Roundup.
