Jlin – "The Abyss of Doubt" (Weekly Music Roundup)

The producer named Jlin works in the style of dance music known as footwork, which grew out of Chicago. But she’s been taking this slower, syncopated form of house music to Europe, and her current big project is a collaboration with the celebrated British choreographer Wayne McGregor. The piece, a very different sort of dance work, is called Autobiography, and Jlin has released a track from it, full of unsettling vocal samples, called "The Abyss of Doubt."

The producer Jlin just played the 2018 Panorama Music Festival on Randall’s Island and will be part of the 2019 Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN, and "The Abyss of Doubt" is part of our Weekly Music Roundup.
