Joe Lovano Quartet at The Blue Note
July 28-29. $35. Sets at 8PM and 10:30PM

Joe Lovano plays lots of instruments: drums and percussion, flutes, clarinet. But most of all, he’s known for playing the sax. And not just any old sax: The Grammy winner actually inspired a line of saxophones made with 24-karat gold keys. Lovano is also a fine composer, and with his wife, the jazz singer Judi Silvano, he spent much of the pandemic doing livestreams to raise money for fellow musicians. Now he’s getting back out on the road, and bringing his quartet to the Blue Note on Wed., July 28, and Thurs., July 29 at the Blue Note.
