Joshua Abrams’ Natural Information Society at Le Poisson Rouge
Monday, Sept. 27. 7PM. 18+. $20-25.

Joshua Abrams is primarily a bass player, although he also plays the gimbri, a bass-like Moroccan instrument used in traditional trance music. Abrams also leads the band called Natural Information Society, which blends the repeating rhythmic cells of Minimalism with the lively interplay of big band jazz, with a dose of North African music as well. Joshua Abrams’ Natural Information Society includes a rotating cast of Chicago’s leading experimental players, and they make a rare New York appearance Monday night, Sept. 27, at Le Poisson Rouge.
