Katya Grineva at Carnegie Hall (Stern Auditorium)
Dec. 27. 8PM. $50-$120
Russian-born pianist Katya Grineva has been based here in New York for much of her adult life, and she's spent a fair amount of time at Carnegie Hall. In fact, Monday night will be the 20th season at Carnegie to include a Grineva concert. Most of them have been what she terms holiday classical events - so there are occasional nods to the Christmas season, with excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker and a solo piano arrangement of "I'll Be Home for Christmas," but mostly it's the classics: works by Chopin, Debussy, and even a solo piano version of Ravel's "Bolero." Pianist Katya Grineva is scheduled to perform her annual concert at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium on Monday night, Dec. 27.
