Filmmakers Brett Berns and Bob Sarles join us to discuss the documentary “BANG! The Bert Berns Story." It follows the life of legendary music producer and writer Bert Berns. Berns was a pioneering force in the 1940s, '50s and '60s music industry. He wrote hits like "Twist and Shout" and "Piece of My Heart." The film features interviews with Paul McCartney, Van Morrison, Keith Richards and more. 

“BANG! The Bert Berns Story” opens April 26 at the IFC Center.
