The Leonard Lopate Show | Jan 26, 2017

Dean Obeidallah, Maysoon Zayid and Atheer Yacoub join us to talk about comedy, religion, politics, and about their evolving roles as Muslim comics in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidency. Writer-director Asghar Farhadi joins us to discuss his latest film, “The Salesman,” which received the 2016 Cannes Film Festival’s Best Screenplay Award and is Iran’s official selection for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Lucinda Rosenfeld joins us to talk about her latest novel, Class, a satire on gentrification, liberal guilt and hypocrisy. Our latest Please Explain, with associate professor at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business Dana Carney, is all about body language and non-verbal communication.
