Listening Party: NYO Jazz, 'We're Still Here'

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Jul 25, 2022

NYO Jazz is a summer program from Carnegie Hall recognizing talented musicians between the ages of 16 and 19 from across the country. The group just released their first album, We’re Still Here, and this week they'll launch a multi-state tour starting July 28 at Carnegie Hall. Artistic director and bandleader Sean Jones joins us to talk about the program, alongside two teen bandmembers: alto saxophone player Kaela Seltzer and trombone player Melvin Nimtz.
