Local mental health organization meets Black New Yorkers where they already are

Only about a quarter of Black Americans seek mental health treatment compared to 40 percent of white people. Economic disparities play a role, a lack of health insurance can be a hindrance, and it can also be really hard to find the right professional.
Just about 2 percent of psychiatrists and 4 percent of psychologists are Black in the U-S.
