Love That Music

The NYPR Archive Collections | Jan 1, 2000

On this episode of Concerts Plus, host Robert Sherman and guests explore the theme of love in a program of live music and conversation. Martin Bookspan hosts the intermission feature.

This program was broadcast live before a studio audience in the WQXR Concert Theater.

Note: This recording contains an additional fifty minutes of performances and conversation which were never broadcast.

From host Robert Sherman's notes:

It's a little late for Valentine's Day, but it's never too late for love, wherefore this bouquet of musical examples of the attraction which, as Henry Fielding so quaintly put it, "operates between persons of the same species, but different: sexes.". Enjoy!
