The Luna Composition Lab Alumni Showcase at The Greene Space

The Luna Composition Lab aims to change who we picture when we say "classical composer." Founded by award-winning composers Missy Mazzoli and Ellen Reid, the Luna Lab mentors young female and non-binary composers. How young? Most of the alumni of the program are still in their teens. Which makes composer Aliya Salmanova a grizzled veteran at the ripe old age of 21. Luna Lab presents its first ever Alumni Showcase, featuring musicians from the International Contemporary Ensemble in The Greene Space on April 25.
