Mac McCaughan is the frontman for the long running and much loved band Superchunk. However, his day-job is operating Merge Records, which he co-founded, and is home to many of indie rock’s biggest acts. So he doesn’t always have time to release as much music as his fans might like. But he’s just released the first single from a forthcoming solo album, and it features Superchunk’s Jon Wurster on drums and the veteran band Yo La Tengo on everything else. Mac McCaughan and Yo La Tengo's song, “Dawn Bends" is part of our Weekly Music Roundup.
