The Maccabees: Rousing British Rockers Return

The Maccabees reached a new creative pinnacle with its 2012 album Given To the Wild, which garnered a Mercury Prize nomination for its exuberant and cinematic rock. Battersea's favorite sons return this summer with what looks to be a scorching new set called Marks To Prove It, out at the end of July. 

For the new record, the band—comprised of lead singer Orlando Weeks, guitarists Hugo and Felix White, bassist Rupert Jarvis, and drummer Sam Doyle—dialed back Wild's cascading layers for the new album, opting for a raw, all-the-instruments-in-the-room feel that announces itself immediately on the title track.
