A Passion for Horses Turns to Obsession in Margot Livesey's 'Mercury'

In Mercury, a new novel by Margot Livesey, Viv and her husband, Donald, live in suburban Boston where Viv manages the local stables. Their marriage is tested when she becomes obsessed with Mercury, a young thoroughbred horse who reignites her passion for competitive riding.
