An Unlikely Pair's War Memoir

The Leonard Lopate Show | Sep 13, 2017

TJ Brennan and Finbarr O’Reilly join us to discuss their dual memoir Shooting Ghosts: A U.S. Marine, a Combat Photographer, and Their Journey Back from War. It chronicles their friendship and experience with war and trauma. Brennan, a Marine Sergeant who was injured during a Taliban ambush, and O’Reilly, a war photographer, met at a remote outpost in Afghanistan. After returning home, both men experienced their own versions of post-traumatic stress, and eventually leaned on each other for help.

TJ Brennan and Finbarr O'Reilly will appear for an event at the Columbia DART center (2950 Broadway, between W 115th and 116th St.) on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m.

Note: Jonathan Capehart guest-hosted this segment of "The Leonard Lopate Show."
