Mayor Gets Personal While Announcing Ambitious Mental Health Initiative

The de Blasio administration says one in five adult New Yorkers is likely to experience a mental health disorder in a given year.

At a press conference in East Harlem on Monday, the mayor related stories from his family life while announcing $305 million in new spending on mental health initiatives.

WNYC's Jim O'Grady reports on the new comprehensive mental health plan, called ThriveNYC.
