Micropolis Live: The Sensual Appeal of Eating with Your Hand

Micropolis | Apr 21, 2015

Was it an act of mass culinary resistance? Or just an excuse to gorge on great South Indian food?

Whatever it was, it was the FIRST EVER Micropolis Live event: a gathering of around 80 people at The Greene Space in lower Manhattan, all of them committed, if for only one evening, to utensil-free dining.

Watch a clip of Micropolis host Arun Venugopal and Madhur Jaffrey, a world authority on Indian food, discuss the sensual and sentimental pleasures of eating with one's hand. Below that, you'll find video of the entire event.
