The global mashup series at Flushing Town Hall has been mixing and matching New York’s diverse communities for years. Each event features musicians from two different parts of the world you might not expect to see together, for an evening of song, and usually quite a lot of dance. This Sunday, June 12, it’s the ethereal Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo, and the Colombian-born multi-instrumentalist Martin Vejarano, who leads several Colombian bands here in NY, including the Cumbia River Band. See it live or watch the live stream.
