MisterWives at Webster Hall
Jan. 13-14. 7:30PM. $29.95.

The New York indie pop band MisterWives made its reputation on bouncy, danceable rock in the vein of Gwen Stefani and No Doubt. But the couple at the heart of the band broke up shortly before the release of the group’s last album, Superbloom, and while it didn’t really change the sound of the music, it’s certainly affected singer Mandy Lee’s lyrics, which have become more introspective. Their song, “The End,” includes lines like “all good things come to an end/To make room for new beginnings.” MisterWives play Jan. 13-14 at Webster Hall.
