Morning Edition's Michael Hill speaks with WNYC's senior political correspondent Brigid Bergin about the latest news in New York politics.

Correction: The August 23rd primary allows any registered voter can go to their poll site on primary day to request an affidavit ballot and change their party affiliation, allowing them to vote in that party's primary. A previous version of this story misstated the registration deadlines for this primary. Both the audio and the text have been updated to address the error.

Be alert for scams. WNYC never asks for nor accepts money for coverage or interviews. Anyone making such a request does not represent WNYC.
