Movies to Watch in 2017

The Brian Lehrer Show | Jan 4, 2017

Brandon Harris, a visiting assistant professor of film at SUNY Purchase and a contributing editor to Filmmaker magazine, recommends movies to see (and skip) in 2017.

Brandon mentioned two reboots of note: "Alien: Covenant," (May 19, 2017) and "Blade Runner" (Oct. 6, 2017), and he recommends these indies:

  • "Golden Exits" Alex Ross Perry, 2017
  • "Everything Everything" Stella Meghie, May 19, 2017
  • "Good Time" The Safdie Brothers, 2017
  • "I Am Not Your Negro"  Raoul Peck,  February 3, 2017
