Muhammad Yunus' New Brand Of Capitalism

Muhammad Yunus, founder and managing director of Grameen Bank and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, joins us to discuss his latest book, A World of Three Zeros: The New Economics of Zero Poverty, Zero Unemployment, and Zero Net Carbon Emissions. Yunus argues that our current form of capitalism is broken and only leads to inequality, unemployment, and environmental destruction. He puts forward a new economic system that focuses on altruism, and shows how thousands around the world are already embracing it.

Muhammad Yunus will appear at the New York Public Library's Stephen A. Schwarzman Building (476 5th Ave., 42nd St. & Fifth Ave.) on Sept. 25 at 7 p.m.

He will also appear in conversation with Karenna Gore at the Brooklyn Public Library (10 Grand Army Plaza) as part of an event co-sponsored with Greenlight Books at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 27.
