New Allegations About The New Museum

WNYC News | Oct 7, 2020

The New Museum, on Manhattan's Lower East Side, is widely considered to be one of the top contemporary art museums in America. Much of that is attributed to its director Lisa Phillips, who's run the museum for more than two decades.

But former and current staff members accuse Phillips of being behind a slew of unhealthy—and sometimes unethical—work conditions.

Culture reporter Robin Pogrebin wrote about it for the New York Times. She joined WNYC's David Furst to walk through it all.
